The National Gloria musaealis Competition Commission visited Olomouc to see and evaluate the "Years of Disarray 1908–1928" exhibition. With this exhibition project the Olomouc Museum of Art is applying for the highest museum award in the Czech Republic. The National Competition of Museums "Gloria musaealis" is being organised by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Czech Association of Museums and Galleries. The three main categories of the competion are the Museum Exhibition of the Year, Museum Publication of the Year, Museum of the Year Award.

"For everybody who visits the exhibition, there is a surprising number of analogies between Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Polish and other Central European art. In short, you can feel that things were in the air and it gives us a great deal of stimulus to think how a common visual opinion is born. This is my first impression of the exhibition", said Radim Vondráček, Chairman of the Competition Commission.

Results of the 17th year of the competion will be announced on May 16, 2019 in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague.
