Last international meeting is taking place in Pécs
Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs is the fourth and last stop of the international exhibition project Years of Disarray 1908–1928. Avant-gardes of Central Europe. As the exhibition is travelling, the education programme for students ArtCoMe is travelling, too. Students from Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary are coming do Pécs at the end of March.
Olomouc, Cracow, Bratislava and Pécs – four cities connected with a common exhibition project mapping the avant-garde art from Central Europe in the rapidly changing period of 1908 to 1928. Paintings, sculptures, graphics, typography, magazines, movie scripts and photographic experiments can be admired in Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs until 31st March 2020.
End of March, this museum will host the last meeting of the international education programme for students. To get ready for the last session, the coordinators from the Olomouc Museum of Art came to Pécs to discuss with colleagues their previous experience. One of the main topics was the particular programme of the creative workshops which aim to let the topic of the exhibition Years of Disarray develop in a new context. “As it used to be during previous meetings too, the programme will be closely connected to the individual work of the students, where the particular teams get known with life and work of four artists of that time period. The colleagues from the Janus Pannonius Museum are preparing workshops connecting the visual and performance art. This might be a very inspiring experience for the students,” explained the project coordinator Jana Macháčková.
