Find me in the ICC Gallery

Figures from avant-garde paintings head to the city with invitations to the ‘Years of Disarray 1908–1928’ exhibition at the International Culture Centre (ICC) in Krakow.

Urban energy fascinated avant-garde artists, so we decided to let some of the figures from paintings presented at the ‘Years of Disarray 1908–1928’ exhibition walk into the urban space. Krakow citizens will be able to meet them in the streets until 9 June. Take a photograph of one of them and show it at the ticket desk at the ICC Gallery to gain a free entry. Find them in the painting to receive a gift.

To take part in the promotional event take a picture of one of six posters located in the streets of Krakow by 9 June 2019. Show a digital or analogue copy of the photograph at the ICC Gallery ticket desk to receive a free entry ticket to the ‘Years of Disarray 1908–1928’ exhibition. Those who find the character from the poster in the exhibition and put the title of the work and the name of its author on the free entry ticket will get additional surprise gifts.

This rich and varied exhibition features more than 170 paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints by artists such as Anton Jasusch, Bohumil Kubišta, František Foltýn, Géza Schiller, Josef Čapek, Katarzyna Kobro, Leon Chwistek, Max Oppenheimer, Rafał Malczewski, Sandor Bortnyik, Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, Tadeusz Makowski, Teresa Żarnowerówna, Tytus Czyżewski, and Władysław Strzemiński.
