Avant-garde on Facebook

Students cooperating on the international education programme are getting ready for their last meeting. This time they explore the destinies of the figures of the Central European avant-garde.

The participants of the international education programme of the project ArtCoMe are going to meet for the last time in March during the meeting held under the auspices of the Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs. Four days of creative workshops and inspiring lectures will focus on interaction of visual and performance art. The students will get the chance to develop a very new view of the exhibition Years of Disarray 1908-1928. Avant-gardes of Central Europe.

The national student teams now already get known with the lifes of the artists they have chosen – those, whose works of art are on show at the exhibition in Pécs. “Similarly as we did last year, we have focused on lifes and destinies of the avant-garde artists. Each team has picked one author from his country and now the students are editing his fan page on Facebook. They are encouraged to discover forms and means how to present the information in an attractive way to a broad audience,” explained the lector Terezie Čermáková.

Look at their fan pages so you can find out which artist of the Central European avant-garde did the students choose.
