ArtCoMe in Zlín and Pilsen

The last few weeks the ‘ArtCoMe’ project was presented at a professional conference focused on the education and work with public. Project coordinators from Olomouc Museum of Art travelled across the Czech Republic to present their experience with the international cooperation.

Terezie Čermáková, the concept author of the international educational programme, was invited to attend a discussion panel about the film and audio-visual education ‘Cinema behind the school 2019’, which took place as a part of the ‘Zlín Film Festival’. To its audience, the presentation ‘To learn – create – educate by film’ introduced various possibilities of interdisciplinary interconnection of an audio-visual creation with the interpretation of art in the museum education. The audience could also watch outputs of the ‘Vary(ace)’ film festival and the international project ‘Art & Contemporary Me’.

The ‘ArtCoMe’ project was also incorporated into the programme of the conference ‘Contemporary trends in the museum presentation and education III.’ This year the conference was dedicated to the exceptional possibilities of non-formal education. At the beginning of June, project coordinators Jana Macháčková and Terezie Čermáková visisted the Museum of West Bohemian in Pilsen. ‘With our colleagues, we wanted to share experience with the international cooperation in scope of the educational programme, which links high school students and teachers from Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary,’ stated Čermáková.
