Students’ Preliminary Work

During their preparation for the international meeting, the students have, in cooperation with their mentors (teachers and lecturers) selected an artist from their country, whose work has been presented at the travelling exhibition Years of Disarray 1908 – 1928. Avant-gardes in the Central Europe. The students have edited a Facebook account of the selected artist. The main purpose was not just to get acquainted with life and work of the selected artist, but to find various possibilities how to present this retrieved information in an attractive form, too.

Meeting Programme

Program of the meeting has been focused on possibilities of interpretation of visual art and furthermore, it has deepened the students’ knowledge about the destinies of four personalities of the avant-garde of Central Europe. The particular workshops and lectures have been focused on development of the students’ abilities to present a selected topic to general public. Students have been working with the art works presented at the exhibition Years of Disarray 1908 – 1928. Avant-gardes in the Central Europe. So they have gained a direct experience with curator’s work and international cooperation in teams.
