Olomouc Museum of Art
Since it was established in 1951, it has been one of the most important memory institutions in the Czech Republic. The Museum is housed in three buildings along with its collections of old, modern, and contemporary art. It administers nearly 200 000 exhibits of the Olomouc Archbishopric and of own collection items. Shortterm exhibitions as well as longterm expositions present visual arts and culture from the earliest times to the present. The Olomouc Museum of Art has been sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
